Peta Hunter

The organic venison on the Societi Bistro Spring Menu, served with an apricot and almond couscous, harissa and a minted yoghurt, is named after Peta Hunter.
We recently interviewed Peta at Peta’s Place Equestrian Center;

What is your profession?
I’m living the life looking after horses for the last eight years – I’ve never been happier!

How do you feel about appearing on the Societi Bistro menu and the dish in particular?
What I love about Societi Bistro is the love and passion that you taste in the food. Peter Weetman is dynamic and inspiring in every aspect of life. I am truly honoured to be featured in his life and on the sensational Societi Bistro menu! 
What does a typical day in your working life look like?
Ask the horses, nothing can be planned, they are all individuals with their own agendas. What they enjoy eating today could be different tomorrow. I feed them along the lines of banting.
What was your dream job when you were growing up?
When I was younger all I wanted to be was a chef!
What is your favourite leisure activity?
Anything with horses, what else ;-)!
Who is your favourite South African clothing or home ware designer?
Jenny Le Roux – by far!

What is your favourite food?
I passionately believe in probiotics – it creates a healthy mind, all problems in your life will be solved!
