About This Project
The Crudo, artisanally produced, organic, raw or cured, has been named after Katrine Puttick, who recently answered a few questions for us over lunch at Societi Bistro;
What is your profession?
I am an FEI approved dressage instructor and journalist.
What does a typical day in your working life look like?
Busy and interesting!
What was your dream job when you were growing up?
I have always wanted to ride and work with horses.
What is your favourite leisure activity?
I love reading, swimming in blue warm water, kayaking and walking.
One of your most inspiring experiences in your career to date?
At the Athens Para Olympics, for a para pupil of mine to receive two silver medals. It was literally us against the world’s best and we came out of nowhere. For the Beijing Olympics I managed to present a full South African Para Olympic team. The first equestrian team ever to represent South Africa and so far the only one. We won two gold medals. I have to say though, that I get as nervous presenting a novice rider into a local ring.
Who is your favourite South African clothing or home ware designer?
The first time I ever ate at Societi Bistro I saw my friend Jenny Ler Roux’s name on the menu and was mega impressed… so baby just look at me now!! Naturally Habits is my clothing shop of choice.
The Katrine Puttick is available on the Societi Bistro Summer Menu.
